This position is integral to helping Information Experts successfully manage our business and takes someone with solid financial and accounting skills. This position will work closely with the Executive Vice President to complete accounting and finance-related responsibilities. In addition, this position will supervise the Office Administrative Assistant.
Principal Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing functions ensuring accurate tracking and timely payments
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Conduct billing and banking reconciliations, maintain/review the line of credit/credit card summary, assist with month end close, and review journal entries
Create purchase orders for subcontractors; create and send contracting documentation to new contractors; update the contract backlog monthly to track invoices
Manage the office-related functions which includes reception, shipping and receiving, office buying, and inventory responsibilities
Manage the human resources administration function which includes processing insurance enrollments and cancellations, and maintaining all employee and applicant files
Balance and prioritize work to ensure critical items are addressed
Produce high quality deliverables while working within budget and meeting deadlines
Interact and confer with IE Team frequently regarding specific work efforts including seeking regular feedback and input on deliverables
Keep supervisor aware of workload and potential conflicting commitments
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of issues and problems
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently with self direction and initiative as well as ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Excellent decision making and judgment skills
Computer literacy with demonstrable proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Can easily handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have patience, flexibility, a good sense of humor and be solutions-focused
Must have strong professionalism and exceptional interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2 plus years of accounting experience
Knowledge of vendor relations, subcontracting, and expense reporting a plus
Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting preferred
